A church which is endowed for a chapter of canons and/or prebendaries but is not a cathedral.

The following were the most important collegiate churches of pre-Reformation England. To each is appended the date of its foundation and the character of the personnel.The list does not include Saxon foundations that were converted into monastic establishments in the centuries following the Norman Conquest.
